On a Magic Carpet Ride!!!!

On a magic carpet ride.... just the right phrase to describe my feeling everytime I attended or visit a trade shows. I love everything about trade shows. I love looking into the different booths and trying on different products and learning new things. Way back then, I love to check out first their food section wherein they i introduce new food products and explained how they came about with their new finished product. At present, now that I am already married, I am now more interest with things that can beautify our home like furniture and decors.
Since I love hosting parties, not only my party but my friends too, I found these nice and unique table covers in of the trade show exhibits I checked into. They comes with different designs and they can be custom made depending on what event you will use it. They also showcases wide variety of designs for table top displays that can be suitable for business-related functions. Another thing that caught my attention was the very inviting, very relaxing designs of their directors chair. They comes with different color, strong materials and can also be customized with your name. Cute isn't? Might as well check it for yourself and see what I am really talking about. Hope you'll enjoy the experience just like i did.

Swimming Unlimited

MHC RR and SICU went to FOREST HILL resort yesterday to have some sort of Bonding. We arrived at the venue around 4 in the fternoon then hit the pool at around 5:30! We enjoyed every moment of it. Flashes were all over the place as our wacky moments were documented. We had lechon for our dinner and lots of desserts.....yum..yum...yum...It started to rain after dinner so the guys gathered on one side as they started their drinking sessions while the gals were busy chitchatting and eating. The kids and some of the not so young preferred to stay in the pool. We left the place at around 9 in the evening wearing those undescribable smile on our face. It was one cool bonding that I will never forget!!! Peepzzzzz where's the next stop?

Lately......

Lately I have been through a lot.....
........ i have been pondering on whether to quit job and take a long rest so that I can be pregnant but on the other hand, I will surely miss the experience that I have in Mindanao Heart Center as a recovery room nurse.
........ i have also been pondering about applying to other country since my immigrant application has been stagnant for many years now. I'm thinking of Canada or UK as of now.
......... i have also been pondering on taking culinary courses as diversional activities. I'm interested in italian cuisine and baking.

Think I'm nuts???? I don't know.... maybe *wink*

Right Design

Until now, im still looking for a gown which design fits me well. I am really have a hard time looking for it because of the fact that im 5 kilos heavier and 4 inches bigger!!!! Arrrgh, i dont want to look like a stuffed lumpia roll on my brother's wedding day! suggestions anyone?

Today we're going to celebrate our 3rd Year anniversary and guess what????? We are going somewhere else.....for a change! In a little while, we will be heading to Palos Verde Country Club. I heard its a very nice place and an appropriate venue for team building activities. Here's our itinerary for the day:

7am - assembly at MHC
8am - Start of the Convoy
9:30 - Cheering Competition
Yellow team - CV RR, OR and Cath Lab
Orange team - MHC CCU, SICU, PICU
Red team - MHC East Wing and West Wing
10am - Bowling tournament
12 - Lunch at Riverside
1:30 - Badminton Tournament
3 pm - Basketball Game (Doctors vs. Nurses)

Quite an exciting line up isn't it!!!!! We're Going to Have a Blast!!!!

Why are there people who just can't be happy if other people are happy. They prejudge the person with superficial basis and never look what is inside the person's heart. These people are like the one referred to the phrase "The scum walks a prior viewer." Let us be fair and learn to understand, love and accept each other shortcomings. In this way, we can make the world a better place to live in.

hey guys, i found some new things that interest me this year....uh, i mean new recipes to try out this year! I have been into blueberry cheesecake this past few days. I want to try oreo cheesecake next and maybe cream puffs and eclair as what my friend, maan, suggested. I just hope I have lots of time and of course budget to try everything out. Who know i might make this as a personal business when the time comes. I just love what I am doing!!!

I am currently updating my farm in my facebook account. I kinda get excited every harvest time. Seeing my brother's farm (which is super organize and obviously generating big money), I am all the more challenge to make my farm beautiful. Right now, I'm waiting for my grapes to be harvested then maybe plant some tomatoes for tomorrow's harvest. addicted? nah! I don't think so!

Happy Birthday to Me!

Last Wednesday, I celebrated my 3oth birthday. I woke up early to prepare ronald's lunchkit and when he left for worked, I returned to the dreamworld. At around 11 am, the room was starting to feel very humid that I forced myself to get up and took a bath. I left the house at around 12 noon, went straight to SM. I decided to dare myself into eating alone in a resto (which I haven't done by the way, in my 30 years of existence). I was so glad that I finally had the guts to do it. After lunch, went to grocery and bought the ingredients for my Carbonara. After grocery, went straight to my parent's house and rest. I went to hear the 5:45 mass at Assumption Parish. When it's dinner time, my parents decided to dine out. So my family plus two of the dearest people in my life went to the dine at Grand Menseng Hotel's Dinner Buffet. Ronald met us at the hotel's lobby and I was surprised that he has my favorite homemade chocolate moist cake with him. I had a great time dining out with all of the important people in my life, just missing somebody, my brother who is now based in Manila. I feel so blessed to have them around me, guiding me, loving me.

Emergence of the name “of the Marwitz”

i was curious of how my name came about and where it originated... and here is quite a discovery...

The final syllable of the name Marwitz is undoubtedly slawischen origin and stands in connection with a place Marwitz in close proximity to Landsberg to the Warthe, it already in 13. Century gave. The place is mentioned documentary for the first time 1337 as possession of the Henning v. Marwitz.

The fact that the surname comes from the place and is not turned around, is not accepted can with a high degree at probability. This legend was transferred likewise to the coat of arms, which shows an old tree, from which new impulses strike, as well as one - kneel-end originally - virgin.

Double Dutch For Mom

It was Mother's day and my mom's 54th birthday yesterday but I wasn't able to celebrate with her because they were still on their way home from camiguin. To let her know that Ronald and I remember her on her special day, we decided to buy a cake for her. I was suppose to surprise her with the delicious Strawberry Cream Fudge from Goldilock but unfortunately almost all of the cakes were already sold. I got lucky to get the last piece of the cake roll on their display stand. It was a double dutch cake roll. I delivered the cake to my parent's house with a simple note on it. I know my mom deserve more than this cake roll, it is just my way of saying thank you for her undying support and unconditional love.

Krispy Kreme the best

I'm already a big fan of doughnuts way before Krispy Kreme was introduced here in the Philippines. When my brother had a 2 big box full of Krispy Kreme as his pasalubong for us, I couldn't help but munched on it till there's nothing left in the box. Exaggerated but true. I personally love the Original glazed the most, then the Hershey's Special Dark Chocolate and the Hershey's Cookies and Creme. For the Filled cake variety, I like the the Caramel Creme Crunch and the Blueberry Cheesecake. I have to warn you guys, these doughnuts are extremely sweet. That's why I settle for the original glaze, not to sweet but perfectly tasty.I am hoping Davao City will have a Krispy Kreme branch of its own so we need not ask our friends and relative for pasalubong. *wink*

Chocolate Brownies

As I said, anything with the shade of brown that is edible.... I'm into it!!!

Here's one recipe that I kept on baking all over again. I just can't resist the yumminess (is there such a word?!?) of this brownie! It's easy as one-two-three!!!!

Been Beezzzzeee

There are so many things that kept me on the go these past few days. First, I was monitoring the construction of our garage. Second, my car broke down so I was busy contacting the mechanic to fix it. Third, I had my eyes sunk deeply into the book entitled ECLIPSE. *wink* busy? you think so? h

When I was in elementary, I studied ballet but ended up quiting due to my academics. :< Now, I would still love to learn ballet, sigh! if there's any school offering adult ballet, I would gladly enroll. 3. I am not a purebred musician. It just so happen that I know how to read notes. After ballet my dad enrolled me in a piano class then an electone organ class while in high school. At present, I'm the organist of the choirs in Assumption Parish. 4. I loved to bake! I'm learning how to cook! 5. I have many addictions!!! to name a few... Ronald of course! then chocolates, sushi, blogging, heroes, grey's anatomy, gossip girl, heroes..... I could go on forever!!!!

Belly Dancing It is!

I only tried it once but I must say it is worth it! Belly dancing classes are expensive here in Davao City but I really learned a lot from it. This kind of dance will surely burn your belly fats in no time. It will also help tone our abdominal, thigh and upper arm muscles. This dance needs a lot of coordination and precise movements. In addition, belly dancing make you feel sexy and feel good about your self.

Sushi!!!!

It's been a long time since I had my last bite of sushi and now, I'm craving it big time!!!! I wish I could make my own so that I will not have to buy it in some expensive restaurant here in Davao.
Here's a sushi recipe that I'm dying to try but I need to gather the ingredients first. I heard that they are kinda expensive. *wink*.... So, Enjoy the Sushi Experience

Yummy Adobo!

One of my favorite Filipino cuisine is Adobo. I love the adobo my husband cooks for me. No special add-ons on the recipe, just the right proportion of the ingredients. I challenge myself to cook adobo with a twist and have my hubby do the taste test. *wink*

here's the recipe I am going to try

What you will need:

1 whole chicken, cut into serving pieces, bones intact

1/2 head garlic, peeled and crushed

1 large onion, sliced

1 tsp. peppercorns

4 bay leaves

3 tbsp. brown sugar

1/4 cup soy sauce

1/2 cup cane vinegar

3 cups of water

3 tbsp. oil

Salt and pepper to taste

The How-to:

Put all the ingredients into a large pot, and mix them well.

Cook under medium heat and bring into a boil for approximately 30-45 minutes or until chicken is cooked and tender and the sauce is thick. After that, add oil and mix it with the chicken.

You can choose to “adjust” the flavor by adding some more spices used for this recipe’s ingredients or you can add stuff to put a twist in your adobo! All time favorites would include hard boiled eggs cut in slices, pineappled tidbits, and coconut milk.

Adobo is best when served hot and with steaming white rice. A soda would complete this delectable warm meal!

Crocs

At first I was not really a fan of this superb footwear. I thought it was just one of those expensive shoes and sandals that would later be replaced with a better and more expensive footwear brands. When we were in Hong Kong, my feet got sores from the shoes I was wearing. I have no choice but to buy a new footwear that would give a comfortable feeling to my aching toes. I found a crocs stall in one of the malls there and bought a pair of brown Olivia slip-on. I must say I had no regrets buying it because it wall all worth it! It is very comfortable and trendy. Two thumbs up for Crocs!!!!
